The 13th Athens International Digital Film Festival (AIDFF) is now accepting applications from creators until October 5th. The festival will take place from December 12 to 18, 2024. Concurrently, the 11th International Ecological and Scientific Panorama and the 2nd International Short and Feature Film Screenplay Festival will also be held.
The Athens International Digital Film Festival (AIDFF) is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. With an average duration of seven days, the festival features a large number of screenings across various genres, alongside parallel artistic events, including music performances, visual arts, theater activities, educational master classes, and tributes to renowned filmmakers, film schools, and movements with a strong aesthetic impact.
The festival includes and screens all film genres of New Cinema, including short and feature-length fiction films, short and feature-length documentaries, experimental works, animation, video art, and video dance, offering a comprehensive view of contemporary film production.
Supporting contemporary international and Greek film production, continuously aligning with technological advancements in cinema, and dynamically designing an event that listens to and integrates the "now" are constant goals of the Athens International Digital Film Festival (AIDFF), which has been held in the city of Athens for a full decade and two years.
Today, the concept of "Digital" is more relevant than ever, and the term "New Cinema" is equivalent to "Digital" and the "New Age." The advent of digital cinema marked the beginning of a new era in filmmaking, as the dual nature of the medium, grounded in the dialogue between art and technology, continuously introduces new developments.
In these twelve years, the festival has succeeded in becoming a favorite destination for filmmakers worldwide. As a result, it has contributed to the steady emergence of a new generation of creators with open horizons and without dividing lines.
The festival is organized by the KOYINTA Organization and Tickets Tickets, and collaborates with partner companies and cultural correspondents in many cities across Greece and internationally. The Athens International Digital Film Festival is supported by the Greek Film Center.
